Grammy-award nominated Andy Moor is a groundbreaking DJ and Producer in the electronic dance music scene. In his illustrious career, Andy has established a distinct, edgy and creative sound that is all his own. This sound, combined with his technical perfection led him to be highly ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the past 6 years. In 2009 he was nominated for the DJ Awards, in 2006 he won “Best Dance Record” at the International Dance Music Awards, and in 2004 he won “Best Trance Producer” and “Best Trance Track”. Owner of the highly respected AVA Recordings record label, producer of the ‘Moor Music podcast’ and producer & remixer to the star’s, it all started from humble beginnings.

Andy Moor started exploring the potential of his talent early in life – at the tender age of 5, he could already play his first piano piece flawlessly. By age 11 his musical ability furthered to include 6 more instruments. Two years later he spun his first record and by 21 he was playing stages and concerts to thousands. Now, at the 31-year mark, Moor is considered one of the most influential figures in today’s electronic music industry.

Within the past year Andy has rocked the electronic dance music world yet again with his production – “She Moves” featuring the vocals of Carrie Skipper. The track struck chords with fans and critics alike. Its frequent appearance in clubs and on radio shows quickly caused this track to be a favourite to many, quickly raising it to the ranks of previous fan favourites. Shortly thereafter Andy was asked to remix the Signalrunners production “These Shoulders”, a task which he gladly undertook. Other past remixes and collaborations have included the likes of DJ Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Paul Oakenfold and more.

Despite his rise to prominence in the scene, Andy has remained incredibly grounded, communicating frequently and affably with his fan base through various social networking channels. In the studio Moor has been at the forefront of the rapidly evolving music scene, constantly pioneering new sounds and techniques rather than relying on a tried and tested production formula. When he’s not in the studio or on tour, Andy stays busy running his own record label AVA Recordings, which has remained one of Armada Music’s strongest outlets, consistently releasing the finest in progressive and trance from a talented roster of new and veteran producers including: Ashley Wallbridge, Tydi, David Forbes and Tritonal.

Many new and future AVA releases can be heard on his podcast, “Moor Music”, which has recently undergone a facelift increasing its frequency from monthly to fortnightly. Available through iTunes and with an ever expanding army of loyal followers and subscribers, the tracks are handpicked and mixed to perfection by Andy himself and are a true reflection of what you can expect to hear him play live at any of his shows or concerts across the globe.

This year Andy plans to reduce his tour diary, with the intention to spend some more time in the studio. After his 2005 collaborative album “Explorer” with Tilt received such a positive reaction, plans were put in place for Moor’s own artist album, which fans will be delighted to hear is well under way. Although his tour dates may be temporarily slowing down in order to concentrate on the new album, the future of the Moor legacy shows no signs of stopping anytime soon…

For the last 6 years, Bobina (aka Moscow-based DJ, producer & label impresario Dmitry Almazov) has formed the tip of Russia’s electronic dance spear. His globe-circumnavigating DJ adventures have taken him around the planet numerous times, playing tent-pole events like Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem, Trance Energy, and the WMC. Through his label, World Club Music, Bobina has been the single greatest catalysing factor in the Federation-side careers of Armin, Tiësto & Above & Beyond, releasing their artist albums throughout her caucuses. On the production front he has released numerous singles, 3 critically acclaimed artist albums and along the way prompted Ferry Corsten to say that Bobina is: “one of the most talented music producers ever to come out of Russia”. Bobina is without question Russia’s first dance SuperTsar!

Bobina – The Producer: Taking his name from the Russian word for a reel-to-reel tape, Dmitry brought the artist Bobina to life in Moscow in 2003. Moving the act unstintingly towards album status, he released his freshman long-player, ‘Catchy’ in 2004. Bobina’s sound spread like wildfire across Dmitry’s home country, turning ‘Catchy’ into the country’s first No.1 electronic dance album. ‘Lazy World’, the first single taken from it was signed to Solarstone’s DeepBlue label in the UK and marked the first international step in Bobina’s career. In 2005 Dmitry followed this up with the vocal anthem ‘September Rain’ under the moniker Zenon. With A-list DJs Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, and Paul Oakenfold wasting no time in picking up on the track, it was signed to the NewState/Maelstrom Music group for a UK release. This deal ultimately paved the way for Dmitry to sign Bobina to the highly respected imprint. His 2006 follow-up album ‘Beautiful Friend’ posted week 1 sales in Russia of over 10,000 units and the video for the single of ‘Beautiful Friend’ made the Russian and the UK’s MTV network hotlists. After taking time out to begin establishing himself as a remixer (see below), in mid-2007 Bobina pushed forward with production on his third album, ‘Again’. ‘Lighthouse’, the first single taken from it enjoyed heavy airplay across Europe and earned Bobina the ‘Most Rotated Artist’ accolade at 2007’s RDMA’s (Russian Dance Music Awards). ‘Slow’, an electro-trance cover of the Kylie Minogue hit followed it in April 2008 and set the scene for the release of ‘Again’ the following month. Its arrival brought with it a new wave of Bobina fans and it rapidly eclipsed sales of the previous albums. Over 40,000 units were sold in the first 3 months of release, making it both Russia’s best & fastest selling electronic dance album to date. It has gone on to spawn the singles ‘Invisible Touch’, ‘Time & Tide’, ‘Lighthouse’ & ‘Honestly’. In September of 2009 the album for followed by ‘Again Remixed’. Featuring reworks of all the album’s tracks, it prompted both Top 10 DJ/producers like Ferry Corsten & Gareth Emery as well as underground heroes like Sean Tyas & First State to contribute tracks. In November both ‘Again’ and ‘Again Remixed’ were re-packaged to form a 2xCD set ‘Again – The Special Edition’ for the UK’s Maelstrom Records label. This made Bobina the first Russian electronic music artist to release an album outside their home country.

Bobina – The DJ: Spinning an evocative, floor-combusting combination of vocal & instrumental trance, he’s brought the Bobina sound to tent-pole events like The Winter Music Conference (2006), Trance Energy (2007) and Gatecrasher Summer Sound System (2008). He was one of only a few deck-practitioners to be hand-picked by Tiësto to support him on his ‘In Concert’ tour. In 2008 at the RDMA’s Bobina was recognized as The Audience’s Best DJ. In October of 2009 he took over Moscow’s legendary Gaudi Club for his first spotlight DJ concert. Bobina Extended saw him thrill a home city audience of over 3000 with a 4 hr set performance, making him the first DJ from the country to do so. Notably Bobina was also the first Russian DJ to appear in the DJ Mag Top 100 chart. In 2008 he debuted at no.28, only to shoot up inside the top 20 the following year (to the no.16 spot).

Bobina – The Label Owner: Bobina is owner of World Club Music; unquestionably Russia’s biggest electronic dance purveyor. W.C.M. has released artist albums (and been instrumental in the breaking in the Russian Federation) the work of Armin, Tiësto, Marco V, Infected Mushroom, Carl Cox, Markus Schulz, Gabriel & Dresden, Above & Beyond, Solarstone, Judge Jules, Astrix, Gui Borratto & TrentmØller amongst others.

Bobina – The Remixer: Aside from his original production work, Bobina has carefully honed his craft as a remixer. Following the release of ‘Beautiful Friend’ he locked himself into the studio for almost two straight years perfecting the art and working on remaps. He has subsequently remixed artists such as Oakenfold, Armin van Buuren, The Thrillseekers Supermode (Axwell & Steve Angello) and for world famous labels such as Ministry of Sound, Perfecto, Armada and Nebula. Most recently he reconfigured Morandi’s ‘Angels’ for Universal Music – the track went on to become Russia’s most successful single music release of 2008.

Russia Goes Clubbing – The Bobina Radio Show: Beaming out around the Russian Federation through the country’s leading DFM network, Russia Goes Clubbing is Bobina’s once-a-week, every-week snapshot of what is making the country’s cities boom. It is broadcast through stations in 50 of the biggest cities in Russia and has a listenership of a staggering 10 million dance fans. RGC also has a massively popular podcast edition which is downloaded by Bobina fans in all four corners of the globe.

Described as “A Highly Respected Producer” by Mixmag, Christopher won a preliminary Grammy nomination in 2002. With a discography of groundbreaking tracks, Christopher’s notable releases ‘Attention’, ‘Scorcher’, ‘Shredder’, ‘Renegade’, ‘Rush Hour’, ‘Cruise Control’, ‘October’s Child’ and bootleg remixes such as ‘Batman Begins’ have been hammered by DJs from Paul van Dyk and Tiesto to Paul Oakenfold.

This past several years have been Christopher’s biggest to date on both the DJ and production front, following the release of two artist albums.
Over 11 boundary-pushing years, Nic Chagall and Bossi have developed Cosmic Gate into one of the most creative and highly-sought-after electronic music acts on the planet. Revered uber-producers, their combined musical acumen has made them evergreen favorites of trance music’s highest echelon. Four hugely-received albums have transported tracks like ‘Not Enough Time’, ‘Body of Conflict’, ‘Analog Feel’, ‘F.A.V.’ and classics including ‘Exploration of Space’ and Fire Wire onto a now uncountable number of dancefloors. As DJs, the effortless cool of their kinetic, enthralling live sets are seen by hundreds of thousands of club and festival goers annually. It’s this perfect storm of production and spinning power that saw them become the highest-climbers in DJ Mag’s 2009 Top 100 chart and land at no. 24 in 2010.

The pair first collaborated in the studio after a chance meeting late in ’98 at a label office in Cologne. It’s a production partnership that has become one of the dance world’s most successful. In their homeland of Germany, they’ve maintained a consistent level of chart success, with no fewer than 7 Top 40 singles to their name and claimed a UK top 10 hit with ‘Fire Wire’. Drawing on a broad-range of their individual musical tastes and inspirations, they’ve continued to modify and enhance their sound…

Following up the long-players ‘Rythm & Drums’ and ‘No More Sleep’, in 2006 they released ‘Earth Mover’, which saw a shift towards edgier, more expansive electronic dance music. It gave rise to the club hits ‘Analog Feel’, ‘Should Have Known’ and ‘I Feel Wonderful’ and garnered an IDMA nomination for Best Album of 2007. Latterly this was viewed by the press as a new ‘Year-1′ for Cosmic Gate. Three years later Nic and Bossi released their much-anticipated follow-up. ‘Sign of the Times’ contained 11 new tracks including vocal anthems ‘Body of Conflict’ & ‘Not Enough Time’ (featuring Denise Rivera and Emma Hewitt respectively) and the singles ‘F.A.V.’, ‘Flatline’, ‘Under Your Spell’, ‘London Rain’ and title track ‘Sign Of The Times’. The response to the album was nothing short of meteoric. They received a Best Selling Trance Act nomination in the 2010 Beatport Awards; scored an IDMA nom for ‘Not Enough Time’ and were catapulted 43 places up DJ Mag’s 2009 chart. In light of its extraordinary level of success, in September 2010 a double-disc Deluxe Edition of the album was released which included all the singles remixes and exclusive, specially prepared revamps of other S.O.T.T. tracks.

As DJs Nic and Bossi continue to whip floors to frenzy-level in all four corners. Most recently they’ve rocked some of America’s most prominent events – Electric Zoo, The Electric Daisy Festival, Audiotistic and Perfecto Night in Las Vegas among them. They’ve brought mayhem to Ibiza’s 2010 season with hugely received performances at Armada at Amnesia and Judgement Sundays, played mammoth the Global Gathering festival in Russia and headlined Godskitchen’s tours in Australia and Mexico. They’ve appeared in DJ Magazine’s list of Top 100 spinners for 7 consecutive years now and are regular festival attraction, spinning at events like Trance Energy, Mysteryland and Dance Valley in Holland, Smirnoff Experience in India and on the horizon Future Music in Australia in 2011.

Back2Back, Cosmic Gate’s on-going compilation series was devised as an at-home audio-expo of the pair’s club-wowing sound. 2010 saw the release of the 4th volume (through Holland’s highly-respected Black Hole Recordings label). Bringing Bossi and Nic’s tight, tense, future-proofed trance/prog/electro hybrid to the forefront, it once again included many of their own track edits.

Over their production lifetime, the Cosmic Gate remix has become nearly as illustrious as their productions. Essentially a blow-by-blow of trance music’s A-list, Nic and Bossi have lent their studio know-how to productions from Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond’s OceanLab project, Deadmau5 & Rank 1. They rewired John O’Callaghan’s mega-seller ‘Find Yourself’ to devastating effect and produced remixes of veteran trance producer Vincent De Moor’s ‘Fly Away’ and ‘Carte Blanche’ (Veracocha). In early 2010 Atlantic Records US approached them to remix James Horner’s ‘I See You’ – the main theme from the film Avatar. This run culminated in them being nominated for Best Remixer at the 2010 IDMAs. Most recently they have completed remixes for Robbie Rivera and Markus Schulz.

Hailing from the flatlands of Dordrecht, Southern Holland, Daniel Wanrooy has been influencing the playlists of some of the world’s top DJs for over 6 years. Both as one half of the hailed duos Progression & Odyssee and as a standalone artist, his evocative, imaginative music has successfully cross-bred virtually every subgenre of progressive, trance, techno and house.

The story so far about Daniel Wanrooy and his music:

EDM life for Daniel started in the early 90’s when he began messing around with electronic instruments. Experimenting with the first Tracker programs, he learned to make music by the well-traversed method of trial and error! Aged 24, he released his debut single in 2001 and started growing and expanding his career from that moment on. Launching his production career in earnest, it garnered plays from all the big names in the industry. In 2005 Daniel was spotted by Tiësto. In the last years, the superstar DJ used a total of 5 tracks of Daniel’s work on his mega-selling ‘In Search of Sunrise’ series. Daniel released ‘Different Day, Different Light’ under the Progression alias in ’07 on Black Hole. Marked up by MTV as “two hours of fascinating music”, it received a huge reception from press and DJs alike.

Daniel Wanrooy – the DJ:

A wish to see his tracks working from the perspective of the DJ booth along with a desire to travel the globe prompted Daniel to take the DJing plunge in 2003. DJ dates have given him an invaluable POV, increasing his knowledge of how to make his music even more floor-effective. He toured around Europe with Tiësto, spun at the legendary Heineken Hall in Amsterdam & played to 15,000 strong crowds across the World. He now DJ’s regularly in the UK, as well as at dates right across the world, like Trance Energy, Technoparade Paris, HMH Amsterdam, FFWD Rotterdam, The Point Dublin, Brixton Academy London and at the Winter Music Conference Miami. Daniel Wanrooy is going stronger than ever, releases single after a single and he even delivered the 14th volume of the highly acclaimed mix compilation series ‘In Trance We Trust’!

Performance history

Trance Energy – Holland, Winter Music Conference- USA, Technoparade – France, Heineken Music Hall – Holland, The Point (TIËSTO warmup) – Ireland, FFWD Dance Parade – Holland, Hellinikon Complex (TIËSTO warmup) – Greece, Luxy – Taipei, Oslo Streetparade – Norway, Monday Bar Cruise – Sweden, Brixton Academy – England, Carling Academy – Scotland, Suikerrock – Belgium, Halo – South Africa and many many more…

Bringing a visionary, never-heard-before crossbreed of progressive, electro& trance to his musical activities, Holland’s Jochen Miller embodies thenew decade’s freeform, Big Room sound. From his earliest turntable days he’s disregarded traditional EDM borders to bring countless global dancefloors to critical mass.A spinner without parallel, he’s comprehensively conquered his home-country,playing tent-pole events including Trance Energy, Mysteryland & Dance Valley before venturing abroad.

Production-wise, Jochen is most readily associated with his 15+ releases on High Contrast Recordings. Over the last 6 years tracks like ‘Lost Connection’, ‘Humanoid’,‘Brace Yourself’, and most recently the Energy 2011 anthem‘Classified’, and ‘Upad’ have wowed clubbers globally and shaken dance floors to their core.

The DJ:

In2000 Jochen became the first ever resident at Nijmegen’s scene-setting, and now widely renowned, Matrixx club. From there he’s gone on to become a fixture atmany of Holland’s cooler, underground venues. With his fashionable style, charismatic nature and affinitive, authoritative deck approach, he quickly madea name for himself at spots like DansSalon, Westrunie & Marcanti. From that base he’s begun to export his new musical synthesis globally, paying regular visits to Russia, Italy, The UK, Germany, Poland (most recently for Sunrise and En-trance) & the Czech Republic to spin. Following a rapid burgeoning of hisfan-base, the latter half of 2010 saw him sign to the David Lewis Productions DJ agency – home to A-list spinners including Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz & Gareth Emery.

Productions:

Following his earliest turn-of-the-millennium productions (‘Surround Me’& 7th Heaven’ among them), hisdiscography went into overdrive with the launch of broad-range music label,High Contrast.

‘India’, ‘Chromatic’, ‘Alive’, ‘And Then’ (incollaboration with Rank 1) and ‘Face Value’ all provided heavy-impact floorartillery for tougher-minded DJs like Marco V, Sander van Doorn & JudgeJules. The multi-genre character of his sound was brought most keenly intofocus when, in late 2010 his ‘Classified’ single was announced as thesoundtrack to ID&T’s newly diversified Energy ‘11 event. Another significant career evolution beckons midway through 2011 with the release of Jochen’s widely-anticipated debut artist album.

Compilations:

Jochen has been mixing compilations as far back as2002 (when he put together the first Matrixx CD). He now has six under his belt- the most recent being 2009’s High Contrast Recordings Presents Jochen Millerand the co-mixing of EnTrance Presents High Contrast alongside Rank 1 in March of 2010.

RadioShow:

In the autumn of 2010 Jochen began a new monthly radio endeavor… Stay Connected is broadcast on an ever expanding list of stations, which already include Dance Tunes Radio, Trance FM, Radio Hi-Tec, Trancesonic andSATO Radio. With the program also available as a podcast download, the sixty minute show delivers his unique sound-fusion worldwide every month.

No added set for podcast/streaming

Lange is recognised as one of the most influential dance artists of the past decade. A DJ who has remained at the forefront of the scene throughout his career and a producer that continues to push all boundaries.

After an exhausting list of achievements, counting among them 20 UK top 40s, featuring on a film soundtrack, and remixing mainstream artists such as the Pet Shop Boys, Lange remains one of the leading EDM producers. His modern day anthem “Out of the Sky” catapulted to the top of the trance charts, making him one of the top selling trance artists in 2008 and it still remains a ‘never fails’ track for djs and clubbers alike.

With the launch of his artist album, Harmonic Motion, Lange proved yet again why he is considered one of the most accomplished and highly rated artists in the scene. The album received unreserved support from both fans and djs with praise coming from around the globe. The lead single, ‘Live Forever’ with Emma Hewitt, topped the Beatport charts for over a month and the album as a whole consistently found promotion throughout the scene.

Lange has started 2011 on yet another production jaunt with his, dirtier, edgier LNG brand. The first single, Brandalism, was a huge success and saw him tapping into the house and techno fanbase; reaffirming the direction of his artist album. The massive “Harmony Will Kick You in the Ass” followed, the title perhaps becoming one of the most frequently used phrases on the social networks and the track itself shooting into the Beatport Top 10 and Judge Jules’ Tried and Tested on Radio 1. Support came universally and it was undoubtedly one of the tunes of this year’s ASOT500 celebration. Expect a lot more from this dark corner of the Lange studio.

2008 saw Lange launch his Intercity radio show, growing quickly in popularity, it has already become one of the staple shows for trance fans, owing its success to its charismatic host and notoriety for showcasing the most exciting new releases in trance and related genres. The show launched as a podcast in summer 2009 alongside ‘Intercity: Summer 2009′, the first in a continuing, and already highly acclaimed, compilation series which was followed by ‘Intercity: Spring 2010′. The show reached 2 years of broadcast in August 2010.

His label, Lange Recordings was set up to showcase his own productions alongside those of other talented established and up and coming artists within the trance scene. The label has gained consistent support from the DJ elite, and has gone from strength to strength over the years and become known for its quality and innovation.

Alongside Lange’s exceptional and successful studio work, he is a prolific international DJ with weekly jaunts around the world, making appearances for some of the best club brands in the world including Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Ministry Of Sound as well as performing for prestigious festivals such as such as Global Gathering, Creamfields, Sziget, Sunrise and Ballaton. His eclectic, stimulating and driving sets pull influences from across the dance music spectrum from, trance, progressive, techno and electro; he is an exciting and lively performer that keeps the crowd buzzing for more.

Lange is one name in trance that has continued to reinvent himself to take on the evolving dance scene and show any inspiring new comer how to be an industry leader through pure talent alone.

Man behind it all, is Evgeny Smirnov. Born in 1987, he would grow up with a diverse taste in music, loving and exploring the beauty of different genres. In the 90’s, he turned his passion for EDM into a hobby and started toying around with producing programs. After discovering trance music, Evgeny knew which path to follow…and started developing his sound into this direction.

At the end of 2006, when Evgeny was only 20 years old, he concentrated on creating his own, quality tracks and saw big names like Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Above & Beyond play his tracks and remixes on the radio and during gigs. Remixes on ‘Ørjan Nilsen – La Guitarra’ and ‘Armin van Buuren feat. Jacqueline Govaert – Never Say Never’ put Omnia’s name on the map.
